Arini I belajar tentang seed germplasm....
1 perkara yang capture my interest is how important the women role as a wife and a mother to ensure her family members obtain enough daily nutrition.
Sebenarnya, kalau suami tak nak beli, macam man kita nak masak kan. Suami kena la beli sayur2 tu dan support usaha isteri nak masak makanan berkhasiat.
Last night, DH and I have discussed about my plan to grow vegetables at home for our daily consumption. Surprisingly, he really encouraging me to do so and he feels excited too. In fact, he already brought some seed of chilies and planting material of serai from his mother's house. (Cepat yer abi, sayang belum balik Malaysia pun lagi ni)
I already bought seeds of various types of vegetables such as chilies, sawi, kale, ceri tomato, jagung, salad, pak choy batang hijau, dan pak choy batang putih. I ada experience tanam sawi, ceri tomato, jagung dan cili je. As far as I know, sawi pak choy, salad, and kale require lower temperature. I still nak cuba. It would be very interesting to see their performance at lowland. Satu lagi, I nak cuba grow mushrooms kat rumah...Kena menuntut dulu la. Ada peserta dari Cambodia@Kemboja pandai buat tapi dia susah nak explain sebab masalah komunikasi.
Kenapa tiba2 beria nak bercucuk tanaman ni?
1. To change my lifestyle and dietary patterns (no more fast-food, unhealthy food consumption)
2. To ensure I have fast access to fresh vegetables everyday
3. To ensure my husband & I eat 200-400g vegetables/fruit everyday (as recommended by WHO)
4. To improve my healthy because it is my priority (I am TTCian maaa.....)
5. To ensure safety food for my family consumption and food security for my family members
6. For the sake of future generation...(healthier with green agriculture)
Even lives in the apartment, condominium, or flat still can grow vegetables....Ada caranya. Jom cuba

ReplyDeleteI pulak nak ada mini garden herbs sebab suka masak Western style. Walaupun ada dried rosemary & oregano, tapi teringin nak makan yang fresh punya. Kat tesco pulak sekali sekala je ada. Like veges pulak , nak pakai sikit je kan..so kalau beli dah la mahal, kena beli banyak pulak tu, pastu dah membazir..Nak macam Jamie Oliver punya kitchen tu. ada juga tengok2 kat Pinterest for indoor and mini herb garden tapi benih tak tahu nak cari mana. So far kami ada mini garden pokok2 hiasan je..I tengok jiran cina belakang ni siram lemongrass 3 bucket padahal bukan ada tanah pun..nak juga..
anyway, nanti kalau u buat tu, update kat blog ye..boleh belajar..
Hai B&C...happy nya jumpa orang yg ada same interest. Nanti dah buat I share okay. Since you dah start with garden herbs, you ajar la I. I pun suka masak western sbb hubby suka.
ReplyDeleteSeed sayur you boleh beli kat kedai2 hardware yang jual barang pertanian. Banyak pilihan. Kalau rajin pergi MARDI boleh jugak beli tapi kat sana tak ada seed leafy vegetables.
